Lincoln-9 Months

Lincs 9 month pics were a challenge. He is such a little monkey and of course, will not sit still for anything. I was really frustrated at first but figured candids are just as cute and that's all I'm going to get! My cousin made a bunch of cute hats for me and Lincoln would NOT wear a hat at all. I was so sad. They are the cutest hats ever! Well, this is the result of our Masterpiece that day. As always, so see more, go to http://srwportraits.blogspot.com/

Grandpa Base

These pics were taken during Christmas Break. Base LOVES his grand babies! I mean L.O.V.E.S them. He doesn't get to see Lincoln very much cuz we do live a long ways away. But when I walked in the room and he had two babies on his lap, how could I resist? These are pretty dang cute.

I love how Lincs looks a little intense in this one! HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Cutest, fatest face EVER.

Him

We all have those thoughts. The ones of inadequacy, insecurity, undeserving and feeling like you go unknown and unloved.  No one is exempt from them. I don't think we are suppose to be. This is how we CAN learn compassion  and kindness. All of us will feel all of these at some point in our lives. I feel a lot of them right now. However, there is one little person that makes me feel the opposite when I see his little face. He IS my constant reminder that I have a VERY loving Heavenly Father that has my best interest at heart and though at times I feel alone and unsure of what I should be doing in life, He is there next to me. This little boy is in my life at THIS time for a reason. I don't know why, but I FEEL it.

He may wake me up in the mornings by pulling my hair, but he sure is hard to stay mad at...

Oh that little face just makes me GIGGLE!

A Thought

Awareness born of love is the only force that can bring healing and renewal. Out of our love for another person, we become more willing to let our old identities wither and fall away, and enter a dark night of the soul, so that we may stand naked once more in the presence of the great mystery that lies at the core of our being. This is how love ripens us -by warming us from within, inspiring us to break out of our shell, and lighting our way through the dark passage to new birth. ~John Welwood

I found this quote on a blog I am currently stalking. This woman is EXTREMLY inspiring and I truly admire her. I love good, deep quotes and this one was filling.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning comes TOO early at the Ward house. I think they get up at like 6am. Not fun. I am not a morning person and even though it was Lincoln's first Christmas, I was still in no mood to wake up that early. That morning FLEW by so fast! Presents were being tossed right left and center at warp speed. It was sad cuz it went by too fast and my sister in law and I were saying how we never got to see what anyone else got.

Lincoln didn't wake up with us when everyone else did (lucky!) so we of course started with out him. However, I heard something in the back room and then heard him bawling. When I went in there, I couldn't find him. I started to panic! Where in the crap could he have vanished too. I knew we had left him in here. Yet another reason to not wake up that early when your brain still doesn't work-you just can't THINK! So some how he had fallen off the bed and was in between the bed and the nightstand. He was almost under the bed. I felt so bad I almost started to cry. It only took Lincoln being picked up to stop crying though.

He didn't care too much about his new toys but he seemed to like his cousin Graycee's new toy that made a lot of noise. I was too tired to take any pics at all, so Jory did but they were pretty blown out so I didn't post them. But these are the only pics I took that day. What a horrible mother!

Oh he is so cute I can't stand it sometimes!

Christmas Jammies!

I think most families have the tradition of giving their kids Christmas PJ's on Christmas Eve. I LOVE this tradition so much! Jory and I started doing this when we were first married but only followed through once. There is nothing more exciting then slipping into a fresh, brand new pair of PJ's on Christmas Eve. For me, it only adds to the excitement of it all. I definatly plan on following through with this tradition for my boy.

This year I got Lincoln the CUTEST pair of PJ's at Target for $5! They looked so cute on his chubby little body. As I've been posting, I've noticed that most of the pics I took were of all the little cousins. I forced myself to take a few pics of Lincs with his parents. I never seem to do this, but down the road, I know I will be so glad I did.

Here is Graycee with her dad opening her little Jammies. She is so dang cute!

A lot of my friends told me not to get much for Lincoln for Christmas as he's too small to notice or care. As he was growing so fast, I knew he would need quite a few things, so that mainly what he got this year. I know even more, he'll love the pics we took of him on his first Christmas.

With Dad, no idea what is going on and I'm pretty sure he doesn't care either.

Classic Lincoln, "Mommy come get me, it's time to nurse" face

Casady's new jammies-she looks so proud! Disclaimer-Jory took this pic, which is why Lincoln is in focus and the subject is not.

Now that Stink Bugs is so mobile, changing his clothes (or anything for that matter) is such a challange. But once you take off all those clothes, he is the HAPPIEST little baby EVER!

Clearly we're trying to break free here...

Yeah, he just wanted to be nakey!

I LOVE the way his jammies look on him. He looks so cute! And I also love how skinny my legs look here. For those who saw how fat I got during pregnancy can agree that I deserve that comment! =D

Here we are by the tree. Lincoln looks so thrilled doesn't he?

Lincoln LOVES this stupid movie! I mean, I usually do to but this year we watched it TOO much that I thought Buddy was going to die!

Christmas Eve(ning)

We tried to take lots of pics of the cousins together on Christmas Eve in front of the tree and we did take lots. Here's how they turned out...

Kids are kids and I think these are hilarious! Casady was such a great help with the babies. These little babies just wanted to be free and dig through the presents! Can you blame them?

Christmas Eve Day

Christmas Eve was mainly spent chasing Lincoln around my mother in law's house. When your kid gets in a new environment, they want to touch EVERYTHING. I'm well aware this is just the beginning. Besides chasing him around, we just did the usual... helped make dinner, bake, had the carolers sing to us, watched Elf, had the kids open their new jammies, etc. Since there was like 50 images that I wanted to post, they will be posted in chapters.

I tried to get as many of the nieces as I could. Although that was hard since my baby is sooo cute that I couldn't pull my attention and camera away from him.

Doesn't Casady look SO pretty in this one? I love it.

Pretty much obsessed with out of focus lights this past season...

I LOVE my baby's FAT chin. So kissable!

This is Cami's little girl Brayklee. She is the SPITTING image of her dad though! I can't believe how fast she is changing too!

Graycee was a hard little cookie to get pics of, but I thought this one of her was so cute!

Linc's first Christmas went by in such a blur. It was a little sad but hopefully there will be many more coming up!
