Happy Easter!

Today was a nice and relaxing day.  I got home from Texas later in the evening and then hung out with Jory at the Fish Trade show thing. They did really well. We got home, said goodbye to Jory's AMAZING mother who came to help take of Lincoln while I was gone. Just as she was leaving, my mother showed up to bring our family an Easter Basket and take Lincs and I out to Kneaders. Jory had to go help Cort with some orders so he had to miss out. I was EXHAUSTED by the time we got back. Lincoln went right to sleep with out any fight at all when we got home. However, he didn't sleep well at all last night again. Poor little guy! Today we all pretty much stayed in bed and just hung out. We seriously needed it. Apparently I was MORE exhausted then I realized-I not only slept in, but after 2 hours of being awake and hanging out with Lincs, I fell back asleep for several hours.

My mom invited us for dinner at their place. I was beyond grateful because I was (As usual) in no mood to cook and I had forgotten that it was Easter weekend until I was in Texas. I can't be more grateful they live in Bountiful instead of Ogden now. So nice to not have to drive as far! We drove up there in time for dinner and finally gave Lincoln his Easter Basket. I brought up some chocolate eggs and put them around my parents yard for Lincs and Dash to collect. Dash just wanted the chocolate-can you blame him though? The boys had fun together and actually played well with each other. Dinner was DELICIOUS and we ate ourselves sick of course! =D After dinner, we took the boys to the park next to my parents house and they had a BLAST!!! It was soooo much fun to watch them both in their element and just so dang happy. I did not even take a single picture at all. I am a little sad, but I needed a camera break after my trip this weekend. That and at least I am documenting it right?! ;) We are back home relaxing on the couch now. This week will bring LOTS of work for us both-which is GREAT! I do think Jory is FINALLY realizing we need a family vacation though! LOL...

Anyways, in honor of Easter today, I did want to post a STUNNING image of Christ that I found! Everyone on FB is posting their Easter outfits and baskets, and it's almost driving me nuts. Wait, no it totally just is. Maybe that is why I boycotted taking any pics today. I just wanted a day with my family and to remember WHY we celebrate to begin with. This image by Mark Mabry is so beautiful! Jory gave me a copy of Reflections of Christ a few years ago for Christmas and I LOVE this work! It is so beautiful and emotional for me. Easter to me is about Christ and His divine sacrifice for us all. He died that we could live again. He made it possible for us to be with our families forever and to be reunited with our loved ones that have passed. He died for us because He LOVES US. No one is exempt from this. Not one person. Of course, it is up to us if we partake of this beautiful gift He has given us.

Christmas with the Bennetts '12

We had a Bennett Sibling party at Camilla & Nicks house this year. It was a lot of fun. I didn't take any pics with the Wards on Christmas Day because they wake up way too early for me, Lincoln was more grumpy then I was that morning and I got tired of getting flipped off whenever I tried taking pics with them. Anyways, it was fun to get all the little cousin together. Poor Taylor needs a girl cousin. So far she is the only one out of 6! We always eat GOOD food and have a little gift exchange. The kids got lots of fun stuff. It was a lot of fun to see them soooo excited about what they got.

I think that Lincoln loved running around in circles at Camilla's house as much as he loved his new toys! Soooo cute! Love Mike's huge eyes in this pic! HA HA HA HA!!!

All the Bennett cousins! Well... minus one of course! ;)

All these boys are less then 2 years apart. Love that they all have each other. Lincoln has a couple of issues. He was not impressed with us wanting to take his pic (as usual) and he did NOT appreciate Dash trying to touch him. What a weirdo.

Lincoln and Parker have slowly been becoming little friends. We have been working on trying to get Lincoln to share and the one time he DOES try to share, it's a juice box right in the middle of flu season! HA HA HA HA... He was a little confused as to why we wouldn't let him share with Parker. Parker was totally for sharing the juice box. That kid eats as much as his Dad!

Love this little Dash boy!

Steph and her cute hubby! We all love JD!

Bugs was in Heaven with her new Barbies!

Lincoln got some lego sets and he was PUMPED about it!

Taylor got this make up vanity set and was SUPER excited about it!

Brendy Bear looks rather bored...

Love this face!!!

And this little face...

Parker was literally shaking with excitement when he opened up his little four wheeler! It was HILARIOUS!

My kid is super crazy!  He was on the go the whole time!

Crazy Kid!

Since Lincoln has been sick, I haven't been able to get much editing done. This past weekend I had two sessions and a wedding, so I wasn't home much at all either. Anyways, I've been up late editing and going through all my files to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I found these images in a folder and wondered where they had come from since I know I didn't take them at all! Apparently Jory and Lincoln were in the backyard not too long ago and he took them. I had no idea Lincoln loved this dog house so much. He loves to climb up to the top and just sit up there. I am sure he's trying to catch birds as that is his latest obsession.

PS-Dog house for sale! Someone took our dog...

Rough Night...

Last night was kind of brutal! Lincoln was up all night crying, tossing and turning. Towards the morning, he was wheezing pretty bad and had fast rapid breathing. So we started out the Sabbath with a trip to the Insta Care. They did another x ray of his chest and the dr didn't like what he saw. He said it could possibly be Viral Pneumonia or some sort of lung infection. He also thought Lincoln might have asthma as well. Which they said that last time we went in too. He only seems to have symptoms of asthma when he gets sick though. Either way, long night and a long morning at insta care. I sure wish that place was equipped with Drs like his regular pediatrician. I really like him a lot.

We came home and Lincoln and I snuggled in bed and had a nap. I swear his nap was only 15 mins long. When he woke up, he was BURSTING with energy. Those levels have gone up and down today though. I wish I could sleep all day! Here is a pic of me and my cute boy snuggling together. LOVE moments like this.

Buds

Last week, Parker (Lincoln's Cousin) came over to play for a few days. He is sooooo cute!! I really loved having him over! The boys played pretty well together for the most part. On day two, they both wanted to play with the same toy EVERY TIME! Lincoln is really into sword fighting right now and he had found a long stick and was trying to get Parker to sword fight with him. Parker, however, thought Lincoln was trying to beat him up and just started to cry instead. I took this shot when Parker first came over and and the boys were on the couch together. It was so sweet that they were just babbling and sharing cars together. Of course that was just short lived. I truly hope that my children will always stay close to their cousins.

Buzzlight Year!

For the last year, Lincoln has been in the Kids on the Move program as his speech and eating has been delayed. No my son is NOT autistic and no I am NOT in denial about it either. Anyways, this program has been just amazing for Lincoln and I. He has really progressed and come so far. It truly has also helped me as a parent find ways of discipline that work for me and him. We've found the ways that don't work and so we know to avoid using those tactics. Lincoln is talking a lot more, trying new foods (according to my parents, I was a SUPER picky and light eater growing up as well-so I think he just gets this from me!) and his behavior has improved a lot. Lincoln has about 3 therapists working with him right now and attends different classes 3 times a week. Sometimes it's just exhausting for me, but he loves it!

Last week, Cameron came over and Lincoln brought out a Buzzlight Year chair my cousin had got him. This chair unfolds and you can wear it as a costume as well-sort of! Anyways, Lincoln wanted Cameron to put it on him and chase him around. Lincoln LOVES to chase and be chased. Nothing makes him happier (except maybe snuggles with mom of course!) It was sooooo cute, so I had to record it. I wish I was better at recording Lincoln's daily life. He is hilarious!

Church

Here's some pics from church today. Nothing super exciting, but Lincs got some new church clothes and as always, he looked so super handsome! He's doing better at church. He was a monster during sacrament meeting, but has been improving tons lately. He also LOVES to go to nursery.

What a handsome little dude!

Here's my belly at 21 weeks. I feel like I am super huge, but according to Dr Baxter, I am right on schedule. Maybe most girls around here just starve themselves to stay small. Who knows, either way, that is a big belly. It's really hard for me to sit through 3 hours of church without getting sick and super swollen. It's making me hate my calling of teaching primary even more right now.

We were late for church again today-I hate that! Anyways, they opened up the Young Women's room for those that are late but still want to take the sacrament. So we sat in there today. Lincoln did pretty well. Cars are such a life savor. And let's not forget the beloved fruit snacks.

I know, it's not super reverent to take pics during church, but it was how I was getting my mind off of not feeling well and having to sit for so long. Love how cute my little boy is!

Such a cute boy and I LOVE how his tie is super crooked in this pic. He pretty much ripped it off and refused to wear it afterwards until I told him he couldn't go to nursery until he put it back on. Worked like a charm! I went to pick him up afterwards and he was still wearing it! We all took like a 2 hour nap when we got home today. I am certain none of us will sleep tonight either. Awesome...
