The Sykes

The following pictures are of my cousins that I love so much! I got to hang out with them up in Edmonton. The Sykes are an amazing family and I have a lot of admiration for each member in that family. I really miss them a lot.

Oh Canada!

I was in Canada on July.1 which is Canada Day. It was a lot of fun. I went to church that morning with my cousin Chantal and we sang O Canada. I have to admit, I was pretty choked up! I know, sounds pathetic, but that's just how it was. Although I learned the song in French when I was young so I couldn't remember the words in english (I was in French Immersion for a while) My best friend Alison and I hung out and took some pics of the two kids running around with the flag on their backs. That night Chantal and I watched the fire works. It was a fun day. I miss Canada a lot. I felt really peaceful while I was there. It was also only 70 degrees there. While everyone was melting, I was LOVING it!! It felt so good! Then.... I came home to the heat! What a change!(and they think they're melting up there! lol...)

This is my new favorite shirt that Alison gave me. It says... Everyone loves a Canadien Girl! LOVE IT!

Edmonton

So back in June, I went to Edmonton Alberta-Canada to shoot my cousin Emily's wedding. It was a lot of fun seeing them and all my other hundreds of cousins I have. I didn't realize I had so many. It was like everytime I turned around, there's another cousin! I got to see a lot of great friends too. I first flew into AZ for my layover and I had never been there before so I had to post a picture of what I saw outside the airport window. I'd never seen anything like it and hope to NEVER again! I mean who lives there??? It was 110 degrees there and it's a dessert!!! (No disrespect to those that love it or may live there, but I did grow up in Canada where it was GREEN!!!!)

Happy Anniversary Jory!

Many of you that are married know that the years just FLY by soon after the wedding. I can't believe we've been married for 3 years now. I know it doesn't seem like that long to a lot of people, but it really has gone by so fast for us! Sometimes, it seems like our wedding was just last summer. Then there are times I can't seem to remember my life before Jory. One of my favorite things about him is that there is a security in his love, no matter what happens or what has happened, he's always there and wants nothing but happiness for our marriage. He is always the first to say sorry and tell me that we need to just be happy. It's a good way to be! I'm also grateful for the family I married into as well. They are great people and couldn't have asked for better in laws. Happy 3rd Year Anniversary Babe! Je t'aime!
