Here's some more pics of the City of Rocks that I took over the weekend. I seriously love this place. It is so fascinating to me! Oh and happy Birthday to me today! Lincs and I hung out in our pj's most of the day and then Jory took me to La Jolla. DELISH...

Idaho Weekend!
This weekend we went to Idaho because I had a bride book her wedding from there and wanted her pics done in the City of Rocks. Ummmm.... hello!!! YES PLEASE! I am ALWAYS up for a good Photography session in a new cool place! It turned out amazing. We went to church with Jory's parents and since Lincs had outgrown his little church suit, it was time for a new one. Holy crap... I LOVE HOW cute it looks on him! How could I resist some pics of him?! He LOVES being outside when we're up in Idaho. He ALWAYS begs us to take him to see the horses. If Grandpa B goes outside with out him, he has a meltdown. Poor kid...

Lincoln: 2 Years
I can't believe my cute boy is 2 years old! It seriously went by in the blink of an eye! He has grown so much in such a little time. He pretty much owns my whole heart. Just when I thought I couldn't hold anymore room in my heart. We took him for his 2 year wellness checkup. Here are his stats...
Weight 27.4lbs
Height 33inches
Head still huge
We are all caught up on his shots until he's 5 yrs. That will be here in another blink of an eye! Right now, Lincoln loves cars, playing outside, watching Disney Movies, playing with Dad's fish stuff, sticks, rocks and is still my favorite snuggle bug. He isn't talking well at all. We've tried so hard to get him to say different words and he mainly just tells us "no!" He's pretty much saying no, car, go and buba (his sippy) We'll be calling a speech therapist soon!
Yesterday we took him out to do his 2 year pics. Remember when I did them EVERY MONTH?! Well those days are over now! LOL... I will do them once a year. Here's a sneak peak at what we got! I am MORE then happy. They melt my heart and make me giggle!

Lincs Helping Dad
Lincoln LOVES helping his Dad when it comes to anything fishing. LOVES IT! I put him on a chair next two his Dad and he seriously was the happiest boy EVER!!! Please don't mind our trashed kitchen, it gets this way when Jory moves his fishing stuff into there. Drives me nuts, but oh well... Look how happy and cute my boy is?! I LOVE HIM!!! Oh wait, you've heard that before haven't you? ;) Tonight Lincoln is watching Mater's Tall Tales and is in HEAVEN! Everytime it is over, he comes running to me in tears, totally devastated. I am talking hands over his face, sobbing. Real tears and all! HA HA HA HA HA.... So cute!

Poor Lincs!
Lincoln is sick. AGAIN. Shocker I know... I am seriously starting to wear thin here. I feel like this kid can never catch a break and just be healthy!! It started yesterday evening. I was working on a wedding and he came up to me just whining. I picked him up and he felt really warm and was acting super tired-which isn't like him at all!! So I brought him outside to Jory and he felt like Lincs was acting a little weird too. I took him inside and laid him on our bed. He was asleep within 2 minutes or less. Jory went to Cort's house and I started doing things around the house. I stopped to check on Lincoln and when I walked into the room, he was breathing really hard and fast. I started to panic. I felt his head and it was HOT. I then felt his little chest and could feel his heart beating really fast and did some weird beat thing. I knew something was WRONG with this kid. I gave him some Tylenol and called Jory. When Jory came home and felt how hot he was, he started stripping his clothes and ran the bath water. We were getting different tempetures readings, so I just didn't trust any of them. He was getting super cranky and we decided just to take him into Insta Care.
When we took him in, they checked his temp and it was 104!!! After I had Lincs in the hospital, I was super sick and had a 104 fever. The nurses were literally panicking. I then asked them what all this meant and one of my nurses said, "It doesn't mean your going to die, BUT..." Wow! They then told me that 105, you can go brain dead. So when they told me Lincoln's temp was this high, I was seriously freaked out! They did a chest x-ray to see if he had Pneumonia, but luckily it turned out fine. We were told to go to the hospital and have some nasal test done. When we got there, they told us to come back the next day because the person wasn't there. Okay... dummies! Sorry, we are beyond EXHAUSTED over here!
We were up half the night with Lincoln cuz we were of course super worried and he was just cranky. Jory put him back in the tub at 6am-or earlier. We just headed back to the hospital for his test. This time when we got there, they told us they weren't set up to do the test he needed in that hospital. Why they couldn't tell me that yesterday is beyond me. So we went back down to UVR (I seriously hate that hospital) and when the nurse saw what test we had to have done, she told us that she had no clue why they ordered that test because if it's just the flu, there's nothing they can do for him but let it run its course. How annoying. So they stuck a hose up his nose and sucked some snot out. Gross, I know, but it is what it is!
He has been hot off and on today, but he hasn't been hot this evening, which is WONDERFUL! One of my dear friends texted me and asked me if she could bring me dinner. I always feel bad saying yes to stuff like this, but SERIOUSLY... it was SUCH a blessing today! I had been taking care of him most of the day and had forgotten to take a minute to feed myself. I took a nap this afternoon with him and woke up feeling SUPER sick. When I stopped to think when the last time I had eaten a meal, I about died. I think it was lunch time yesterday, but then again, it could have been breakfast because the last meal I had eaten was cereal. Which really, it isn't a real meal! So for this friend, I am truly so very grateful!
Next week is Lincoln's 2nd Birthday. I am so excited. I want to be one of those moms who makes birthdays fun and special. I have some fun things planned, so I'm hoping all goes well and he is healthy in time for the big day. Should be fun! I am shooting everyday this upcoming week (except on his bday of course!) It will be a busy, busy week. It will be amazing though! I can't believe how many weddings and sessions I have been booking lately! I am so blessed!
I will post pics of Lincs soon though! I am hoping to do his 2 year pics next week!!! Yeah, a little (or a lot) nervous for it!
PS-By the way, my Dad is doing GREAT!! They ended up putting him under and shocking his heart. However, it made his heart start beating regularly. He got to leave the hospital that night and still went back to work that week (against my mother's demand to spend the rest of the week at home resting).

My Dad
Yesterday my Dad went to work and as he was arriving, his heart started to flutter pretty bad. He waited a little bit to see if it would stop, but it didn't. He decided to go over to the clinic just to have it checked out. They didn't like what they saw on his EKG, so they sent him by ambulance to the U of U hospital. Steph and I drove up together and met him in the ER. They had given him meds, but his heart was still just fluttering away. The did an echo cardio gram on his heart that my sister and I got to watch. We saw the fluttering on the monitor. It was small, but it's just not good. They moved him up to a room to keep him in over night. My Dad had a lot of blood draw and everything is coming back normal. We're not sure what caused the fluttering either. He was put on blood thinners. From what we were told, fluttering is dangerous because it can create blood clots, do heart damage and result in a heart attack if not treated. Last night they told us that if it didn't stop overnight, they would shock his heart today. Ummm... WHAT??
So... I talked to him this morning and he is still just fluttering away. My brother called me to tell me that they are making the appointment to shock his heart. They clearly are going to put him under for this. They have a few things they are going to try to get this to stop. When I had called to talk to the Dr before I went up yesterday, I was told that this is not a cause to freak out, but a cause of concern. REALLY?? I am a girl, this is MY Dad and I love him. Yes, I AM freaking out and worried. I've lost too many loved ones unexpectedly, so I know the drill. I know that anything can go wrong and I also know that things just happen.
My best friend almost lost her Dad over the weekend because he went missing out in the desert. Luckily, they found him. They said the survival rate and the chances of being found in the area he was at is only 20%. He clearly beat those odds and we are all so grateful! To come so close to loosing a parent is just nerve wracking! It's kind of weird that this has happened to us so close together and we have been calling each other several times a day since Thursday evening checking on each other's Dads and of course on each other. So we're pretty much soul mates these days.
Please remember my Dad in your prayers. He needs them. He is such a good person and I am so worried about him. I ultimately think he will be ok, but who wouldn't want to think that right?
I just can't imagine having to go through loosing a parent and hope that doesn't happen until I am much (very much) older!

Books
Wedding season is here and I have been busy! I have 3 weddings to finish among 10 bridals, engagements, families and babies I need to catch up on. Oh and 3 wedding consults on Tuesday!
I haven't blogged in a while and that is why!
Look how cute my stink bugs is reading away in his little room! I can't believe he will be 2 in just a few weeks. He has become quite the stinker around here. He knows what he wants and will pull every trick in the book to try and get it. Poor guy has been sick AGAIN!! Yesterday he had a fever half the day. He has thrown up like 3-4 times today. It has been so hard! Through it all, he continues to want to be outside ALL THE TIME!! In fact, we went on like 3 walks today and for a car ride. Tomorrow we have a play date with our friends in the morning and then in the afternoon, Lincoln has his very first Dentist Appointment. It takes two of us to pin him down and brush his teeth-not a fun experience. That and all the throwing up he does has got me seriously nervous as to what is going on inside his mouth! So yeah... I am TOTALLY dreading this appointment tomorrow! Sure hope he doesn't throw up on the Dentist.
