My new calling...

Yesterday I was called to be the Laural's advisor in my ward. I am so excited about this calling! I used to work with the Y.W. when I was like 21 and it was by far my favorite calling. So I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve the girls again. This will also be a great personal growing experience for me, one that I've been in need of for a while. My best friend Jeanie is in Y.W. as well in the other ward, so we're both thrilled to get to go to girl's camp together this next year! =) Jory seemed pretty excited that he may be joining us at girl's camp. I think that he is happy to go camping at any chance he can get. Knowing him, he'll be teaching the girls to fish! LOL... Jory is still the Cub Scout Master in our ward and I am still his Assistant. I don't think they will ever release him from that calling! Lol... They love him too much and he does a great job with the boys!

Fishin with the Puppies

So Halle and Diego are the only ones that will willingly go fishing with Jory. Course, they think they are going to get to eat a fishie. Jory sets his camera up on a tri pod in the river and films himself. He thinks it's the greatest!

In Loving Memory...

On Aug.22,2007 Thern Ward passed away. Although this was a very sad occasion for all of us, there is so much good that will be remembered of him. Grandpa Thern was such a sweet man and loved us all. His kind heart was known by all. He loved little children and esp loved giving kisses to babies. I know he still lives today and is hopefully playing with our babies until it is their time to come to us. Even though he is gone, his legacy still lives on through his grandson Jory and his son Base. Both are amazing men and I see a lot of Grandpa Thern in both of them.
I heard this quote once and since Grandpa's passing, I was all of a sudden reminded of it. "When you were born, you cried, and your family and friends rejoiced. Continue to live your life in such a manner that when you die, your family and friends cry, and you rejoice." I am so grateful for the loving atonement that the Savior provided for us so that we can live with him again. We love you Grandpa Thern!

Krista-My Childhood Friend

So this is one of my best friends that I grew up with in Canada. She was the punk/skater and I was the little casual preppy. We didn't have a lot in common, but we sure loved each other! Still do. Anyways, so now Krista is a dance director at Lone Peak High School and a few weeks ago I did pictures for the Dance Team. I took this picture of her and think it's one of the most gorgeous pictures of her! I love it. So this post is dedicated to my sweet friend Krista!
