Baby's First Driving Lesson

Last weekend I did a photo shoot for a family that came in from Vegas. It was great to see her and her CUTE little kids. One of my Laurels came with me on the shoot to help out with Lincoln. I cannot thank her enough for all the help that she is. Lincoln had a MAJOR blow out just before we started pics. It was EVERYWHERE-including his armpit. Nasty... Anyways, we were in the car afterwards with Lincs on my lap just resting before the long trek down the canyon and Lincoln started playing with the steering wheel. Luckily, Brens had my camera in hand. How adorable is this little boy learning to drive??

Alison's Visit Part 1

So Alison came to visit me back in July. I figured it was time to write about that. Although... the journaling on this may suck a little since I don't remember too much. Yeah for pics of it though.

Lincs and I took Allison to the Mt.Timpanogas Temple Sunday after church. This was Lincs first trip to the temple. It was a beautiful (HOT) day. I love the peaceful feeling you get even while on the grounds. No matter what you are struggling with in your life, it's a great place to escape to. I love the feeling that no matter what, God loves me and will always look out for my best interest. Here's some pics from that trip...















Later that week, we went to Temple Square. We packed a picnic lunch, walked around the temple and just relaxed. There were some really cute tables you could sit and eat your lunch at with a gorgeous view of the temple. I loved it! Here's just a few shots from that!











I do have more pics we took at the SLC temple, which I will post later. We also went to Park City and of course, that was A LOT of fun! Forgot to bring the camera on that trip. In all, we visited 5 temples while she was here. Two of them were night shots. Oh how I LOVE night shooting!!!

4 Month Pics

First of all, I'd like to wish my mother a VERY Happy Birthday today and safe travels back home from Canada. Love you mom.

Here's Lincs at 4 months. I'm totally slacking but have a lot on my plate right now. Today we did MORE laundry, tried to clean up around the house. Can I just say that seems like a never ending project? We met Melissa at Ikea today to look at some frames for an upcoming photo contest I'm entering. Love that place... I even made dinner! Ok, don't pass out here. I'm progressing and trying. ;) This week the goal is to take his 5 month pics. Hopefully that will work out for me. We'll see.

5 Months

I can't believe I haven't even posted his 4 months pics and here we are at 5 months! Nice... Lincoln is weighing in at 16.2 lbs right now. He rolls like crazy, scooches, loves to be standing while being held and can sit on his own for up to 10 seconds. Such a smart stink bugs!I keep thinking he can't get any cuter then he already is, but he does.

Today we ran errands all over the place, had naps, did laundry (LOTS) and... tried BABY CEREAL!! At his 4 month check up Dr. Clayton was telling me that at 6 months is when to start feeding them baby food unless they act interested in your food. I told him that was Lincs two months ago. He said to go a head and start feeding him baby cereal now. I wanted to hold off as long as I could. However, today was the day. My little boy that seems to want to grow up soooo fast LOVED IT!! He kept opening his mouth for more. When he was done, he clamped those cute little lips TIGHT! Lincs has always seemed to know what he's wanted (and not wanted) from the minute he was born.



I know, I forgot the bib. I'm still learning here! But we had fun!!



He was ANXIOUS for more. Soooo CUTE!



THEN... He thought he was a big boy already and started grabbing at the spoon. He was quite confident that he could do this by himself! As you can tell, he sure had a lot of fun trying.

So Tired!

I always check on Lincs from time to time while he's sleeping. He only takes small 20min cat naps-which isn't nearly enough time to get anything done around the house really. Once in a while he gets PRETTY tired and sleeps a whole hour. Those days are much to be grateful for. A little while back when I went back to check on him, this is how I found my cute boy. Hilarious!!!



Clearly, he was having one of those days. He is way too cute.

A Boy & His Dad

Jory has been in Idaho for the weekend (yeap, you guessed it-FISHING!)while I have stayed home trying to clean the house, figure out our new (blessed, BLESSED) washing machine and catching up on my MANY photo sessions. After doing about 3 sessions for clients, I decided it was time to focus on my baby's pics-which I have neglected for quite some time. I mean have you seen any 4 months pics posted? Nope, me either. So as I was working on those, I found the above posted image. It's beautiful.

He LOVES, super LOVES his little boy. And who can blame him. He is, after all, perfect in our eyes. Such a tender moment between father and son.

Private

Due to new and weird circumstances, we have decided yet again to go private with our family blog. I know that's what we had said before, but Jory had wanted to stay public for his family out in ID. Our good friends from Canada came into town and we have been spending any chance we could with them. I super LOVE this family!! They are just amazing to me in so many ways. A week ago, Karen called me and invited me out for lunch and a Pedicure. H.E.L.L.O!! Heck yeah! We ended up spending the whole day together. The pedi was of course amazing. Karen chose a Autumn colour which was soooo gorgeous, I had to steal. We went to lunch at Kneaders. Folks... doing this with a good friend-life just doesn't get any better then this! =D Girls night with her other girlfriends was a lot of fun-let me tell you! These other girls are not only gorgeous, but so much fun and so easy to talk to.

I shot a wedding Friday night for a friend that is moving away to Iowa with her new husband. Her wedding was gorgeous and she looked exquisite. As I was shooting ring shots, I realized I hadn't taken a pic of my beautiful pedi!! Clearly, it was hot and my feet were yet again swollen as you can see my flop lins! HA HA HA!
