Progress

So we (and when I say we, I mean Jory) finally got the crib all put together. Saturday night we put in the mattress and made his little bed. It still astonishes us that we are going to have another little human joy our family. As excited as we are, it's the weirdest feeling that we are having a baby boy in 4.5 weeks. It really STILL feels so unreal.

We still have NO clue what to do with his walls, but you can count on some huge canvas wraps (or metallic prints) to be hanging up there. It's driving me nuts that there's nothing on his walls yet, but it'll come together in time. LAURA!! Any thoughts, tips or advice is welcome! (This also go for anyone else who might have some great ideas)

Slowly, his room is coming along. I can't wait for it to be finished. Last Friday, my good friend Tammy threw me a shower with the girls that I used to work with at Family Legacy Dental. It was REALLY NICE and she put so much time and effort into making it so special. We are so grateful to receive loads of diapers and bum changing needs. His room already smells like a little baby. I LOVE IT!

Baby Blessing

A few weeks ago, Jor and I went up to Idaho for our newest niece's baby blessing. Graycee is such a beautiful, sweet, little girl. As I held her, I could feel a very special feeling about her. I think Lincoln knows her too. He moved a lot while holding her. Either that or it was squishing him and he didn't like it! ;) I'd like to think they knew each other in Heaven and were good friends though. She is a beautiful little baby. It made us even more excited for ours when we saw and held her. Graycee's big sister is pretty protective of her too. Grandpa Base gave her a beautiful blessing and her dress was so sweet.

Our Little Man Lincs

I am LOVING being at home! Today Jory and I have been cleaning and organizing our house getting ready for our little boy's arrival. We're making progress and it feels GREAT! There are so many things we still want to do and it's nice to have loads of time to get them done.

Last week I was at my dear friend Tammy's house and she helped me scan in my ultra sound pics of our baby. They were taken back in November when he was only 17 weeks along. It was the most amazing feeling in the world to watch him move inside me and to actually see a little person in there instead of thinking I was just getting fat. The lady that did our ultra sound told us that he was a wiggly little guy. As she was moving along, he lifted up his little legs and showed us what he was. She then said, "Wow, he sure wants the world to know he's a boy!" So cute...

Prego Pics

So I had this photographer ask me and Lincs to model for him and I thought, sure why not? He is a great photographer and just a really nice guy. Here are some of the belly shots he did. Hils, hope you enjoy! This is for you sweetheart! ;)











When I had first found out I was pregnant, I booked a shoot with Scott Hancock because he is amazing!







Things still continue to go well with the pregnancy. I am about 5 weeks away. I can't believe it! He is still VERY active and according to the Dr, I am very healthy.
Dr.Baxter said that if I went into labour now, he wouldn't stop me from having the baby. He also said not to get my hopes up that he'll come anytime soon. Darn it...

I'm still loving the smell of Pine-Sol and am eating LOTS of baby carrots. I don't know why on that one either, but they just taste SO GOOD! Well... so does Ice Cream sandwiches! It's funny how your body wants certain things you know? I'm still retaining water like crazy and every joint in my body KILLS! I'm on my 4Th cold-super fun.

We're making progress on the baby's room too. The crib is all set up and we're still trying to decide on how to decorate his walls. I'm one of those weirdos that HAS to have things on her walls. Bare walls in MY house drive me crazy and I don't know why. They have all my life though. So Jor and I have some cute ideas and hopefully it will all come together BEFORE he gets here!

Buggies Bennett

A few weeks ago my brother and his wife took my nephew out to play. Bugs came to my house for the day to play. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her! She is so much fun. We watched "Kinkerbeto" (Tinkerbell), Snow White and had yummy snacks. She found these fabulous sunglasses in my toy box and thought they were the greatest thing ever. Of course she wore them most of the day. In fact, somehow they ended up back at her house. ??? I took some pics of her while she was here. Her little face brightens my world. Love you Buggies!

Oh yeah.... Christmas!

Ok, so I'm a little behind on things. Being prego, you have other things on your mind and you just forget a lot! Christmas was a blur for us. Jory was gone half of the month working in OK and didn't get home until the 22nd. Talk about cutting it close eh? We hung out at our house most of Christmas, visited my brother and his amazing wife while watching their two CUTE kids open presents. Seriously, Christmas is not Christmas without kids! It makes it more special for sure! After they opened presents, we drove to my parents house in Ogden and hung out there for a while, then went to Idaho to see Jor's family. Yeah... all in one day. I seriously think I slept the whole next day.

But of course, it was so much fun as always to be around our families during the Holidays. Here's a bunch of shots from the festivities....

Project Baby's Room

We FINALLY have started on our baby's room. SOOOO EXCITING! Jory and his buddy Cort (PS-THANK YOU CORT!!!!) moved the huge fish tank out along with all the other big stuff last night. My sister and I scrubbed the walls late last night. It's so weird, but I CRAVE the smell of Pine Sol. I don't understand it but it boosts my spirits right up. ???? Today Jor and I went and got some paint. I wanted to take some pics of the "Before" and will post some "Afters" too. This room use to be Jory's beloved Trout room where he had his 8 or 9 ft fish tank he made and where he made fly rods and tied flies. He's pretty sad about this, but it's all for the cause!





We had been up in Idaho all weekend for a job Jor was doing and our sweet new niece's baby blessing. While we were gone, we received a phone call that the crib my parents so generously bought us had arrived. I can't even tell you how excited I was to go pick it up! Jory wanted to put it together right away, but since we still have a ton to do in our baby's room, we figured we should wait. I am getting soooo anxious to get our little boys room together!

While we were in Idaho, my sister in law and I scrapbooked together while the boys watched the Superbowl. I made 6 pages up there for his book and two frames. LOVE making things for my little boy!! Life is good my friends... life is good! =)
